1. Commitment to Students and Student Learning
I am committed to the care and wellbeing of my students. I strive to provide my students with the upmost quality of education and foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where learners can feel empowered to take risks and challenge themselves in their learning. I am committed to ensuring that each and every one of my students is treated with equity and respect. To do so, I will ensure to be mindful of the unique experiences and perspectives that each student brings into the learning environment. I will always do my best to accommodate each student's needs and put them in the best position to succeed.

2. Leadership in Learning Communities
I am committed to student learning and success, and I will demonstrate my commitment by taking on a leadership role in the not only in the classroom, but within the entirety of the school community. I strive to support and lead initiatives that cultivate positivity surrounding student well-being, practices of inclusion, and student engagement. I recognize that strong learning communities are built through collaborative efforts and sense of belonging. Therefore, I will model integrity and professionalism by ensuring that my student's voices are heard and encouraged.

3. Professional Knowledge
I am committed to developing and applying professional knowledge in ways that make learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful for my students. I strive to design lessons that are hands-on, inquiry-based, and connected to real-world experiences, particularly in areas such as STEM, coding, and physical education. I recognize the importance of understanding how students learn and use this knowledge to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners. I am dedicated to continuously building my understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, and student development so that I can better meet the needs of all learners in my classroom.

4. Professional Practice
I am committed to implementing effective and reflective teaching practices that support student learning and growth. I strive to create engaging lessons that allow students to explore, create, and actively participate in their learning. I will use a variety of instructional strategies and assessment tools to monitor progress and guide my teaching. I pride myself on being adaptable and responsive, whether that means adjusting a lesson in the moment or stepping into new teaching situations with confidence. I aim to create a classroom environment where learning is both structured and enjoyable, and where students are encouraged to try their best and take pride in their work.

5. Ongoing Professional Learning
I am committed to continuous growth as an educator. I actively seek feedback, reflect on my teaching experiences, and look for opportunities to improve my practice. I am open to new ideas and approaches, and I value professional learning experiences that help me better support my students. I strive to learn not only from professional development opportunities, but also from my colleagues and students. As I continue in my teaching career, I am dedicated to evolving my practice, staying current with educational research, and continuously working to become the best educator I can be.

I strive to embody and model these values as I build and maintain professional and relationships with students, colleagues, parents, guardians, and members of the community.


Care
I will demonstrate care for my students by creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to take risks in their learning. I will listen to my students, recognize their individual needs and experiences, and provide hands-on and engaging learning opportunities that support both their well-being and academic growth.

Respect
I will demonstrate respect by valuing each student’s voice, identity, and perspective within the classroom. I will foster an inclusive learning environment where diversity is acknowledged and celebrated, and where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. I will model respectful communication and encourage students to treat one another with kindness and empathy.
Trust
I will build trust with my students by being consistent, approachable, and supportive in all my interactions. I will create a classroom environment where students feel confident sharing their ideas, asking questions, and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I will also maintain professional relationships built on honesty and reliability with students, colleagues, and families.


Integrity
I will demonstrate integrity by acting with honesty, fairness, and professionalism in all aspects of my teaching practice. I will uphold ethical standards by maintaining confidentiality, being accountable for my actions, and making decisions that are in the best interest of my students. I will strive to model strong character and responsibility, both inside and outside the classroom.
